Miniskirt a short priced success

Miniskirt, a three year-old filly out of Minnola; owned and bred by Chris and Lesley Mills justified her odds-on favouritism when getting off the mark at the fourth attempt yesterday at Southwell.

Miniskirt has ran well the whole of her short career so far, finishing second first time out at Salisbury at the end of the last turf season. Due to niggling little injuries and lack of opportunities she didn't make her debut this year until the closing weeks of the season so the all-weather has proved valuable for getting races into her.

Miniskirt showed she clearly handled Southwell, as she was always prominent leading the pack under regular Jockey Chris Catlin before quickening two furlongs out and very soon putting the race to bed finishing eight lengths clear of the second horse Laika, whom she was beating for the second time!

Congratulations to everybody who looks after and rides her and congratulations again to Chris and Lesley Mills whose success has happily continued through the winter months.
