Jane's Memory storms to Listed success

The yard's only four-year-old, Jane's Memory, showed that class will out when storming to success in this afternoon's Listed Cecil Frail Stakes over 6f - a trip she was stepping up to for the first time in her racing career.

Under a perfectly timed ride from Richard Kingscote, she was kept in behind the leaders for the early stages of the race before making a move to take up the running at the furlong marker, after which she stayed on strongly to claim the rewards.

The good-looking daughter of Captain Rio showed plenty of potential at two, placing in both Listed and Group 3 company, before unfortunate circumstances resulted in her being sidelined from the racecourse at throughout her three-year-old season.

She made her racecourse return earlier this month after over eighteen months off the track and has obviously benefited from the outing to fulfill the potential she had shown earlier in her career; we hope it will be onwards and upwards from here for this promising filly!

Congratulations go to the owner, Mr Padraic O'Neill, and Charlotte who looks after her at home.
