A gladiatorial effort

Roman Spinner got her first win yesterday evening on the all weather at Kempton in the Nursery Handicap Stakes over 6 furlongs which is part of the Jockey Club Grassroots Nursery Qualifier). She jumped very promptly and Luke Morris quickly got her in an ideal position behind the leader where she remained settled before being shaken up around the 2 furlong mark. She responded well and hit the front a furlong out and ran on well winning easily but a length and a half.

This filly is one Rae spotted along with two others at the yearling sales last year to form a new syndicate call Reprobates Too. He has a great eye for a bargain with talent and, while Roman Spinner might not be quite as good as the unbeaten two year old Serious Attitude Rae also spotted as a yearling, he can find a good prospect at an affordable price to give an owner a lot fun.
