Fauvette strikes again

Fauvette increased her tally of wins this year to three after winning the feature race at Chelmsford yesterday.

After finishing fourth at Lingfield in her last race she found a return to the flat track at Chelmsford much more to her liking. Owned by Rae and Rachel this striking grey filly is becoming one of the flagbearer's for the yard.

The Racing Welfare Handicap was the feature race of the day and this Class 3 event over six furlongs attracted six runners of which Fauvette went off the evens favourite. Under David Probert she was drawn one of the six runners and raced on the inside at the rear of the field for most of the race. A furlong and a half out she moved up to take the lead and won by a length and a half beating the Stuart Williams trained Huraiz.

This mare is progressing well and won this off a mark of 80 with plenty in hand and she is an exciting prospect for the yard. Congratulations to Rae and Rachel and thank you to David Probert for the ride. Well done also to Sajjad Ali who looks after her at home.
