Wow. That's the only word for it. Was it the lucky carnation from the gypsy at Epsom on Saturday? Have the fates smiled on Rae at last? Whatever it was no-one here is complaining about the yard's recent blistering form. Today saw a double of grey three year old fillies adding to the tally. First, Rosa Grace fulfilled her promise with a good win in a Listed contest at Newbury to gain big black type for owner Eamonn Duggan, who is a great supporter and richly deserves every success. The second winner of the day was for another of the yard's loyal supporters, leading stud owner Kirsten Rausing, when her diminutive Si Belle showed plenty of guts and won her second race in a week under a six pound penalty at Yarmouth. Wow. Rae is almost always lost for words but he doesn't write this and I seldom am, but this is really something else. Fantastic! |
