Serious Attitude wins well 04/09/2008

Serious Attitude ran an amazing race to take the Dick Poole Listed fillies stakes at Salisbury this afternoon, scoring winning black type at her first attempt. Tracking the leaders she made her move smoothly, drew clear then started to pull herself up eventually winning by 3 lengths, in the process taking the yard to 18 winners for the year. Although it was not billed as a vintage renewal, some of these fillies had run with credit at Royal Ascot and few of the field were mugs. According to the Sporting Life she is now quoted at 20 - 1 for the 1,000 Guineas. HOW exciting is that!? Once again congratulations to Derek Willis of Purple and Yellow and Rae Guest, her lad Sam Davis (who once again missed leading her up as he was on his way back from Germany with Si Belle) and her regular rider Emma-Jane Jenkins, Rae's assistant trainer. Serious Attitude is certainly a very exciting prospect and next stop is the valuable sales race which she goes into off a featherweight. She is the fourth individual filly in the yard to gain 'black type' this year.
