Pretty Officer has given her owners the ROA VIII Racing Partnership a lot of fun this year, running well without quite winning, and the partnership are planning to buy a new horse from the sales this autumn with a budget of £30,000.
Again this will be a professionally managed partnership headed by Council member Tony Hirschfeld and operated by Tom Gittins. There will be ten members and shares cost £3,000 + £220 per month payable by direct debit. This would make a great Christmas present! Meanwhile Pretty Officer has been given to Rae by the syndicate but will continue to run in ROA colours with any prize money donated to the retraining of racehorses charity. Rae wants to give the aspiring jockeys in the yard the opportunity to ride her in races (she has an entry in a ladies race on Tuesday for Emma-Jane Jenkins) and will ensure that she finds a good home at the end of her racing days.
