Although there have been relatively few runners from the yard in recent weeks, they are running well, principally debutante Corton Charlemagne who finished a very creditable second at Great Leighs. Sadly Monazaalah missed out on black type at Goodwood by just a short head, which would have made a great present for the newly wed Terry and Bridget Jennings, but it was not to be. Rae has been busy at the yearling sales both in Kentucky and Ireland. Last week he bought two yearlings, an Indian Ridge colt and a Pastoral Pursuits filly (who will be offered for sale soon on this site)and they are safely back at the yard looking none the worse for their long trip. This week also sees the Cambridgeshire meeting at Newmarket and very excitingly on Saturday morning Rae supplemented Serious Attitude into the Cheveley Park Stakes (Group 1) on Friday. There are 23 runners at this stage. |
