Almost all the older horses, including last year's Cheveley Park Stakes heroine Serious Attitude, are back in the yard now, starting with a trot in the barn before progressing to circuits of the Southfields trotting rings. A lot of them are fresh and the sand tracks are very muddy so the lads cannot wait to start cantering, which they will be start to do gradually over the next two weeks or so. Although there are few entries and not much to report, the yard is a hive of activity and everyone is full of anticipation for the coming season. |
