Rae was delighted with the success of Mr and Mrs Shone's May Martin at Southwell today. Everything went right under a confident Chris Catlin, who had ridden the filly work the week before. Although she was slowly away, she quickly got the hang of things and was the best finisher, winning by 3/4 length at 12-1. Unfortunately the winning owners missed out as they are in Dubai, but provided the handicapper does not go crazy, she ought to be able to follow up. Many congratulations to Mr and Mrs Shone, May Martin, Farman who looks after her and Luis who rides her most of the time at home. |
