It was a funny old morning on the gallops really. Everyone working first lot was supposed to come up the summer gallop only to find, on arriving at the appointed spot, that the gallop was closed due to a horse and rider being prostrate on the gallop. Given these unfortunate circumstances, our bit of a change of plan was an irrelevance really. However the change of plan necessitated
a few groups coming up the Cambridge Road polytrack instead. First was Style Icon (Saleem Golam), Bohobe (Karl) and Midnight Fantasy (Luis) who went 6 furlongs and joined up nicely. Then came Rattan (Colin) and Dancing Jest (Sriram); Flirty (Rachel) and Diktat Queen (Omar) and then Fat Chance (Noel)and Red Stilleto (Sam), all going six but staying one behind the other. Second lot Syvilla (Jo) led Si Belle (Emma), both going well; and Timbaa (Andrew) led the 2 year old Linamix gelding now named Scilly Breeze (Sriram). Various others were doing sharp canters in single file including the two year olds who are doing a bit more being led by the ever enthusiastic veteran Montecristo, who looked to be pulling Emma Spencer's arms out of their sockets. |
