Today the massed ranks of the racing press came to Chestnut Tree Stables to interview Rae and see Serious Attitude. This was part of an extremely well organised Newmarket Racecourses press day (thank you Tony Rushmer and Newmarket) which began yesterday afternoon with a visit to John Gosden's Clarehaven Stables to see Rainbow View whom John described as 'the wildest filly I have trained'. She stayed in her box. There was an excellent dinner at the racecourse last night, and this morning they began with Fantasia at Luca Cumani's (apparently won't run in our Guineas, owing to now being in the same ownership as Rainbow View, but an intended runner in the Nell Gwyn); and ended up at Chestnut Tree Stables where Serious Attitude was very happy to pose for the cameras and seemed to be lapping it all up. Rae has just had his final interview with Racing UK. A snippet of this is likely to be shown on their Saturday morning programme then it will be edited and shown in full later next week. There should also be a piece on the Racing Post website. It is all a bit exhausting but it certainly is nice to have something the press want to talk to you about, so there will be no complaints from us. |
