Pat Smullen came over from Ireland this morning to ride Serious Attitude in the only serious gallop she will have ahead of her 1,000 Guineas bid. She worked 6 1/2 furlongs with Dichoh (Robbie Mills), joining two out and coming readily clear by 2 1/2 lengths. Pat Smullen said he was delighted with the work and privileged to be asked to ride a filly like her. He also said she was pretty fit and good in her wind. Co-owners Derek Willis and Rae were both all smiles. The dream is alive... Favourite Rainbow View was also working over 6 and seemed to go well under Jimmy Fortune, although she was dripping with sweat and connections were evidently being very careful with her. Later in the afternoon Fantasia sluiced up in the Nell Gwyn, prompting speculation that she may be re-routed to Newmarket. |
