You may recall Eamonn Duggan's Blue Oasis being second in the Listed Hoppings Stakes at Newcastle some years back. On Thursday, Tim Cooper's Syvilla achieved the same feat, saving herself from being retired, much to Tim's delight as this had been the plan with her all year. Her own value and that of any future progeny will be massively enhanced by this success. We have had a few others knocking on the door (Filligree at Folkestone and Dancing Jest at Windsor) but this was one second no-one was disappointed with. Well done Timmy and Jo Riddell who has looked after and ridden Syvilla here since she was a yearling. |
