British and Irish breeders and consignors have created an incentive scheme that rewards the racehorse owner via The Racing Post Yearling Bonus. The Racing Post Yearling Bonus will offer owners a £10,000 bonus on their eligible two-year-old winning a selected ‘Racing Post Yearling Bonus' maiden race in 2010.
The early expectations are there will be a £2 million bonus fund for the connections of the winners with the Racing Post backing the initiative.
The scheme is clearly great news for owners as it offers an excellent chance of recouping a further £10,000 just for winning a maiden.
The introduction of the Racing Post Yearling Bonus scheme means that buying a yearling will offer far more value than ever before this year.
