Diktat Queen has taken her time to fill her frame and is now a fine looking filly, albeit to date a bit on the fragile side. Having her second run under a positive ride from Saleem Golam at Chepstow, she ran a blinding race to win narrowly from the odds on favourite. No-one here can really pretend that they expected this success but what could be nicer than to be pleasantly surprised? Well done to Saleem, Barry Stewart her owner/breeder and Gopa who has ridden her a lot. Poor Barry was apparently having eight teeth extracted yesterday so wasn't able to make the trip to sunny Wales, hopefully this success will have speeded his recovery. Get well soon Barry! |
