William Carson has been giving our horses some great rides this year, particularly Tony Hirschfeld/L K Piggott bred horses, it seems. Today was his second winner in a week as Filligree won well at Bath, following up from Corton Charlemagne on Monday. On both occasions he read the race well and he has that most essential ingredient for any jockey - he knows where the winning post is! Filligree is a fantastic horse to have anything to do with. Given the right conditions and a following wind she is amazingly consistent, so many congratulations to William, her owners, the Filligree partnership, and Sam Davis who took her racing today in place of Noel Garbutt. Rae is delighted to have the yard's third winner in a week. May the good form spread along the barn to our own Flirty! |
