Rachel's Newmarket Town Plate report

• What an amazing day and a historic occasion. I feel privileged to have been part of Newmarket's 350th birthday celebrations. Opera Buff really put his best foot forward and we finished a very creditable fourth to Sheikh Fahad on Almagest who just caught MP Matt Hancock on Nicky Henderson's Medieval Chapel. A very good result for British racing. Both horse and rider were exhausted afterwards and it was a great experience. Apparently we will be featured on BBC's Inside Out later in the year!
